Just had the IP replaced under warranty on the 2006 Damon Intruder 8800 miles. The LCD display was getting vertical lines on it. The new one is a refurb with a couple of new features (displays gear in use, has option for large characters). Now the "O/D OFF" light on the panel does not work with the O.D switch in the "O/D OFF" position.

The light works when the ignition is switched on and also during the panel test sequence but does not show the switch position. The switch does cut out the O/D when driving, however.

Does anyone have a pinout diagram of the plug-in connectors for this instrument panel?

Thanks in advance for any advice/help.

Bill,
I sent you a pdf copy of the Acita Cluster manual. I think this will give what you want.

Thanks, Dale,

Your input is invaluable. I will read up and try to fix.

Dale,

The manual was very helpful. I had explored the diagnostics, with the one exception of the switch inputs. Now have done so, and find that the switch is sending input to the cluster, and the diags are reading it. The light tests are OK, so the problem appears to be internal in the IP hardware. The tech who installed it probably ran the diagnostics and saw the light OK, but didn't check to see if the switch actually turned the light ON.

OK Orville, back to the drawing board.

Thanks,
Bill

Here is an undocumented element that is not shown in my Actia Service Manual. It's the Grade Brake ON indicator light. The Grade Brake was introduced on the 2005 chassis.

I noticed this light when driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. Looked it up in the Actia Service Manual and that area of the dash, in the manual, was blank. Ran the cluster diagnostics test and the light showed as the Grade Brake ON.

Does anyone have an Actia Service Manual newer than ACTIA Ref. 1057-03 Revision A???

-Tom

I called Actia about this, spoke with a very nice and knowledgeable gentleman for 28 minutes. Apparently they are loading 2006 software on 2005 IPs. I really like the two new features I got but the "O/D OFF" light not working appears to be a glitch. They are going to review this at an engineering meeting and most certainly develop a fix.
