I think mine is collapsed, but wanted to check if others have noticed theirs. It is nice and round coming out of the radiator, then bends up towards the water pump where it flattens out. Round again into the bend at the pump.

I haven't had any overheating problems.

Thanks.

Dan, I just checked mine for you. It's round with no flat spots. I believe there is tempered wire wound into the hose and bending them straight would be next to impossible.

Sounds like it should be replaced to me; it's a lot cheaper and easier to replace now then a failure out on the road...

This, to me, says you don't have a problem

However considering the cost of a new radiator hose verses the cost of Excedren to cure the headache and the long term effects of too many headache remidies...

If you are worried, replace it

NOTE: a hose that is collasped when cold may do something quite round when it's hot

Thanks for replies.

I ran the engine to check for oil leaks after oil change & noticed it had rounded out. But next day it was flat again.

I ordered one, coming from Chicago, should be available for pick-up Monday. $48.35 plus shipping.

Something else to get done before we leave for the summer next week.

Dan, if your hose is only flat when the engine is off and cool, you might want to check and see if the cooling system is holding a vacuum when cool..It should draw from the overflow tank as it cools off, and maybe yours isn't doing that. fault in the rad. cap would be my first guess..rgr...
