A rubber brake hose symptom will prevent the caliper and/or wheel cylinder from releasing (partially or fully) once one has braked. Causing brake/s to drag.

Agreed. The most common symptom is a locked brake caliper after braking. It will not be symptomatic of having the peddle go to the floor with no brakes.
