Al,

Did you deduct any gen hours?
Just a rough estimate if you didn't, you could take about 28 gal of gas off your total which would put it closer to 8 MPG

Did you program the transmission temp in for your Scangage?

Thanks,

Ron

My scanguage did measure 170 degrees for the transmission though at times in the 100+ degree heat. I'm not sure what this should be. I think that the range is 150-158.
Al,

175 to 180 degrees is normal operating temps...

I didn't deduct the generater gas usage. In fact, I forgot to check the hour meter. As far as programing the scanguage, I used Oemy's site and then called scanguage to program the guage. It was easy to do. During my travels, The map was at 14.6, the water temp ran about 198-202 degrees. The fan came on about 204 degrees and the input air temp varied. After looking at bank thermometers on the side of the road, it looks like the input air temp is close to the outside air temp. May be off by about 5 degrees. I'm not sure about this, but I'll keep an eye on this.
Thanks for your input

AL: I think you'll find the SCII is reading the input air temp at the MAF sensor (behind the air filter), which IS probably a few degrees higher than the ambient air temps being shown by commercial roadside thermometers. You'll probably see it display MUCH higher when stopped, because then you are sucking the hot air from inside the front cap without much fresh flow thru the grill. ED
