Muffler Hangers and Flange
For those of you who have replaced the mufflers on your W22, were you able to successfully remove the hangers and flange from your old mufflers in order to reuse them on the new ones? If not, did you find a source for new ones? I have new mufflers on order from Brazels, but they indicate that the old ones should be reused.

No one has replaced their mufflers? Hard to believe, since all Workhorse chassis are more than 10 years old.

I don’t know about others, but ours is going on 18 years old and still has the original muffler.

I replaced the muffler and the complete exhaust system (except Cats) with a Banks system.
I can vouch for the increase in power, but fuel economy is much the same. I suppose I would get better mileage if I slowed down on the hills to my old speed, but why?
Sorry to get off the subject, but go for the headers if you can.
BTW, you will get new hangers with the Banks kit.

I replaced my mufflers and reused the old hangers, cut them off with a cutting wheel then weld them on the new muffler.

CJ, were you also able to reuse the flange that connects the muffler to the exhaust pipe? It's also welded on, to the muffler inlet.

Yes, I used the flanges off the old muffler, I found some couplers at the local parts store and welded them on. Not sure what size they are.
I actually asked the very same question you did.
Here is a link to a discussion about replacing the mufflers, I have a picture of the magnaflow sitting next to the stock muffler
