New chassis to have arrived last spring....

Old thread

Can't reply to old threads these days.

There were a couple new/prototype RV chassis shown at the RVIA show last fall. There was the "American Power Chassis" from Jones and Sons and the "Extol" and "Revel" from Spartan. An 8.8 liter aftermarket version of the Chevy 8.1 was mentioned as a possible powerplant.

Spring 2013 came and went. Anyone heard any news? Google doesn't seem to turn up much...

I'd say it takes a lot from prototype to actual production.
Just the EPA regs on the engine must be a huge issue.

Building/ assembly is probably the easy part.

HERE is a more recent thread: http://www.irv2.com/forums/f22/freig...8l-169066.html You don't need Google...just search this forum.

I'm still waiting for a coach builder to announce using one.

Thanks. I now recall that thread, but I didn't follow it to the end where the Motorhome magazine article was mentioned.

The new direct injected small block Chevys are impressive, make a great 8.1 replacement.
