Onan Emerald plus 5000 genset-Headach

I have a GAS Onan Emerald plus 5000 genset model number 5BGEFA26100P.
I was cleaning the outside with brush and soap, and had it running the engine and the genset. got through cleaning and not paying attention to the gas hand, The cover was down over the genset so no water could get in
when the generator just up and cut off, it did not trip anything, it just cut off while under load.
Thinking it was because the gas hand was below 1/4 tank I had her filled up.after this she wouldn't do anything but click when the start push button was pressed on the genset
I then checked the oil level and she was a little low and I brought it back up to the line on the oil dip-stick.
The clicking was coming from the starter solenoid part#307 2570. I thought it might be bad so I ordered a new one and placed it on the Unit and couldn't get it to do anything, not even click any more so I jerk the 2 old batteries out and replaced with 2 brand new ones. checked and triple checked all grounds and positive post terminals and cables, still nothing. thinking I may have just bought a cheap starter solenoid off of e-bay I decide to buy the right one that should have purchased from the beginning,
checked and blew out the Oil sending Unit,
when I hooked everything back up, and went around to connect the batteries the genset tried starting to crank by itself like the start button was being pressed i pulled the wire back off the batteries and it wouldn't do this again. I think I had the 2 wires on the starter solenoid COIL backwards so i switched them back.
the switch on the dash is disconnected just pulled the wires off to take it out of the equation
So with the new starter solenoid in, still get nothing when pressing the switch
I am pulling my hair out over this, please help

Check the glass fuse that is right there in the control panel cover (at the generator) near the start/stop switch.

I have checked all fuses and cleaned all contacts on the board. there is one fuse that I'm unsure about. and that is the f2 fuse for the fuel pump that bolts to the side of the generator. not sure if it goes to the starter solenoid for 12 volt dc are to ground on side next to the fuel pump, I haven't ohmed it out yet but I'm fixing too,,, just thought about that. sometimes you focus on the bigger picture while over looking the obvious

I pulled the unit out of the RV and found that the back spark plug wire coming off the coil was corroded and burnt slap into. will take the time while I have it out to do some much needed service plugs wires points brushes fuel filters slip rings and oil and filter. clean carb and reinstall
