I see the w22 with a Monaco built coach on it has a open front wheel design. This allows water/salt to be distributed in the engine bay.

Has anyone closed off the wheel well? There is a steel structure with 10 inch holes in it that could be closed with plastic/rubber material.

Or is the open wheel design for Air Flow?

The electrical system on the chassis is using the current state of Art Weather Pack connection system, but why push your luck. All car/ light trucks have inner fender to reduce this condition.

YES, and please leave it open for that reason. Now, don't get me started on the wisdom of leaving the air filter box in that wheel well. ED

A very common problem on motor homes built on the Workhorse chassis is poor air flow in the engine compartment leading to over heating and failure of some parts (Spark plug wires for one)

Just so you know.. Seems to be make/model specific (Read that it's not really a workhorse issue but a coach maker did not allow enough air in there problem)

Thanks for the feed back. Yes I saw the air filter box in the well and the mass air flow sensor. Something to keep a eye one for moisture problems.
