on some vehicles you can disconnect the battery for about ten minutes to clear it,or you can go to a parts store and buy your own code reader/eraser for about $60.00.

Key on, engine not running, press throttle 3 times to floor in 5 seconds. Restart.

Mike
That clears change oil warning, not check engine light.

Golden Gopher: If you have an OBDII reader, it can usually also be used to reset the light. Some auto parts stores may have rental or loaner readers.

I thought the OP had a "service soon" indication, not a "check engine" light.

Fred, what i was told is right in line of your thinking, besides, you can also buy a reader for as little as $40.00 these days and they will erase as well. By chance fred, does your Dolphin LX have the three dolphins on its side? Mine is an 04 with what seems to be a paint set up of an 05. At least from the paper work that i've seen, mine shouldn't have come with the three Dolphins on the sides.

Yes it has one and it's normally under the dash on the left side of the steering column.

Scan tool to read the code, then diagnose the problem and replace any needed parts. Lastly reset the code with the scan tool and road test the fix.

You definitely have one. It is on the left side of the steering column as has been stated. It faces downward, so it's hard to recognize it as a plug. You will either have to stand on your head or feel around for it.
