Prodigy Brake Controller Wiring: Stoplight Signal

I have a 1995 P30 (Georgie Boy - 27') and need to connect a Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller. One of the signals is STOPLIGHT, which tells the brake controller it should engage. I found two switches that operate when the brake pedal is pressed in, but the only signal I could find that transitions to 12 V is also active when the hazard lights are turned on. Using this signal seems like a bad idea, especially if I am going up/down a steep hill and want to use my Hazards. Anyone have any other options I could investigate or wired a similar brake controller?

On the p30 chassis check for the wire harness its about a 10 wire plug. I think its purple wire its located along steering column. It is near the bottom. One of those wire is the actual feed to the stop lamp relay.

I found another post where a relay was used to convert the negative going signal to positive. After further verification I discovered that I have 2-3 negative going signals; when brake is engaged, the signal transitions from +12V to ground. I will pursue this approach to complete the wiring.
