Rodent damage to ignition coil - how do you stop this?

Well, dang it finally happened .... rodent got into the engine compartment and had a snack on ignition coils ... it's being repaired, but has anyone had success with preventing this from happening a 2nd time?

We store our RVs on a paved lot with 50 other RVs in a mobile home park. So we cannot put bait or anything pets might consume around RV.

Put a large sticky pad right on top of the intake manifold, you can actually fit 2 of them.

Just don't forget to remove them before starting the RV, or you will have a real sticky mess.

Did you turn it into your insurance? They will cover it.

I had a problem on my old Overland gas coach with a 460 cu. in. motor! Mice got up on the motor, and chewed some wires and plug wires!
My fix was to get some rubber snakes from the Dollar Store, and wire tie them around the engine compartment and the front firewall area!
No more rodent problem, and I forgot about them, till I took it in for a oil change in S.C. one day! When the Mechanic raised the front hood to put the oil in, I heard a scream, bang, then saw the mechanic running away! Oh crap, I forgot about the snake that I had put up draped over the oil fill!
In a dark, under the hood, area, the snake looked real, and I ended up putting the oil in, as the mechanic would not go close to the MH after that, unless I removed the snake!
They stayed there till I sold the MH, and I told the next owners about them, before they bought it!
Worked great, never had any more mice problems! Rail!
