rubbing noise front wheel
When I drive slow there is a rub noise at one point of the roll each time that point comes around. Don't know if it happens when driving faster than 5-10 mph. I jacked up the front, hand rolled the tire and no rub noise. I checked the rotor and could not see any cracks. If the rotor was out of line would it rub when I was turning the wheel by hand? I am also wondering about the wheel bearings when there is weight of the RV on the wheel. I tried to move the wheel top/bottom and side/side and there was no movement.

It could be your hub cap. Loosen it and realign it.

If the lugs are loose you will get a creaking/rubbing like noise, and only when the vehicle is driven.

I had a similar noise, and went through the same steps you described. I was told it was in the brakes, and it was not an issue. I can say that last year, I replaced the wheel bearing caps and added gear lube to the front hubs. And I haven't heard the noise sense. Had not even thought about the noise until I saw this post. Good luck,, keep us posted as to your results, because I don't know why mine is gone, just glad it is. ( the DW thinks that some thIngs in vehicles fix themselves...I don't but I kinda laugh when she says that)

I had the same noise for years. Then 2 yrs ago I had the brake caliper recall done along with new rotors, pads, and wheel bearings. The work was done by the experts at Redlands Truck & RV. Still have the same noise. I believe it one of those things that may be "normal".

Man I hope you guys are right. I rechecked my paper work, when I had the brake recall I had everything replaced, rotors and all and that was 10,000 miles ago. In two weeks I breaking camp for a road trip and I will just take the hub cap off for the trip. If it still makes the noise I will have a shop check it out.

I developed a similar noise a few years back. Would go away after a while. Took it to Redlands Truck and found that a drive shaft carrier bearing was bad. Had both replaced. No more noise.
