If It is a 5 speed... You can code it as an Xguage.

Yes it will read the transmission on the two chassis you mentioned. As far as what else it will read, the list is long and available on the Scangauge website. Its safe to say there are a dozen or more individual parameters that a Scanguage 2 will read and display on the chassis you mentioned.

Once you get your SG and get it all loaded up we can help you decide whats best to monitor on a regular basis.

Thinking about getting the Scanguage 2 as well. I have a Newmar Kountry Star with 8.1L with Allison 1000. This will read transmission temps with adding any additional sensors or anything? Like to be able to see trans temp and guess reading posts it is good to know L1 and L2 as well.

SG II will read Allison Temp IF yours is a 5 speed directly from the OBD II port once you program the SG II using the X gauges it includes.
It will not read TFT if you have a 2006 or newer with the 6 speed Allison.

I'm using the ScanGauge II to read transmission fluid temps on my 5-speed 2004 W-22 Dolphin. I don't remember what year they went to the 6-speed, but it won't read those.

Creating your own x-gauges can be a little frustrating initially, but not so bad once you figure out the quirks. It's definitely worthwhile and comforting to have that information in front of you as you're going down the road.

Have ours scan gauge installed right below speedometer. There are a few threads that give excellent details on setting up your desired xgauge settings.
