Spark Plug Wire Help with Ultrapower Magnum Wires

Hello,

I'm trying to install the Ultrapower Magnum Plug wires, and having a hell of a time getting them on. The problem seems to be they don't want to snap into the coils. When you go to push the wire & boot down onto the coil connection, the boot just slides and you cant get the plug wire connector to snap onto the coil connector, not to mention the little white sleeve that is inside, it also is moving. Has anybody installed these, and if so, any tips?

Thanks!

Rob

Didn’t have any issues with mine when I did them 3-4 months ago.

I didn’t have any issue, but did you try a dab of dielectric grease?

I have the Magnum Extreme plug wires, and had no problem installing them, not sure about the Magnums though.

Have you tried sliding the boot up the wire so the connection is visible and then pushing in until it clicks after which slide the boot over the coil.

I have found sometimes the connector can be cocked within the boot and they need to be maneuvered a bit for proper insertion.

I just put them on mine with no issues. I did question how solid the connections were as I did not feel a "snap" but I've driven over 600 miles and all is working.

+1 on the dielectric grease suggestion. Did mine a few months ago and the grease made it easier.
