Speedometer reads high

2002 8.1 vortec, allison 1000 tranny southwind 35r. New tires (hankook) same size as original goodyear. Tire revolution per mile are almost identical (4 rev per mile difference) speedometer reads 8 mph high, reads 65 when I'm actually doing only 57. Confirmed on two different gps units. Had transmission service just before this trip. Any ideas? Is this a transmission function? Can it be a programming issue? TIA for help

Welcome to iRV2

Question . Was the speedo correct before the tire change and trans service?

If this was a Dodge P/U , I'd say programming issue ; Workhorse chassis , I'll have you wait for members with more experience on W/H.

My 2008 with a W22 chassis also has the same speedometer error , it has original sized tires. From my research it can be corrected by re-programing the PCM at Workhorse dealer. See link:
