Spindle - Workhorse P32 chassis 2000
Hi,
I need to replace my front right hand spindle on my Georgie Boy Pursuit year 2000, which has a workhorse chassis, but I cannot find the part.
Any idea where I could find it ?
So far all my researches led me at some point to either :
-Precision Sales & Service
-Colaw RV
-Arizona RV Salvage Yard
but these places don't have the part.
Any help would be more than welcome, I've been searching for it for the past 2 weeks and running circles.
Cheers

Why? What is the problem ? Can you post a picture ? I would try a very good machine shop.. if you can't find spindle.. have you found the part numbers on it? You might try a search using spindle part numbers..
Good luck and keep us posted

It’s my understanding that the spindles are a discontinued part so repair may be your only option.
Keep us posted.

You may have to swap the whole axle.
I don't think it is year specific, so that opens up the pool from which you can select the complete assembly.

Since the P32 chassis was used for Stepvans may try Mills Supply, maybe they could locate a used spindle.

Hi.
Yes I tried looking the part with the number. It is discontinued. As far as machine shops, they won't do it because its a front spindle, and they don't want to get sued if it breaks and I get an accident.

First one as 99 last year did come up. I let you sort the details. Maybe good lead anyway.

When my bearing broke on the highway, it got so hot that the spindle bent. Its not possible to get it repaired (even axle doctor won't do it). Another tip I got is to search for a whole axle in a salvage yard (cuz some will just sell the whole thing, which is something I didn't think of looking for).

The number on the part is 15993350, it is a GM part, but discontinued, so they don't have it at GM.

So I am quite worried and sadden about this.. because I have a 2000 p32.. and bearings can over heat easily and do this.. so I have skin in the game.. as so to speak.. if I were you.. I would be faced with 2 choices.. if I take you at your word.. 1 start contacting salvage yards and try to find a new home in one for rv.. or 2.. get very creative.. to get creative.. I would tell machine shop 1st ag equipment.. 2nd cash.. next.. I would see if the spindle can be repaired .. or pressed out.. and use one off old Chevy heavy duty trucks.. like top kick.. you could find specs on old one and see if you can match to different ones.. sorry.. it's all I got.. if I could think of something.. I will chime back in.. maybe try Chevy heavy duty trucks forums.. or heavy duty trucks shops..
Please let us know what you find.. there are a lot of us.. oh.. I wonder if you could transplant a spindle from newer Chevy rv to older one and have spindle turned to fit.. just grabbing at straws here..
Good luck and keep us posted

My uncle gave me the same idea. I talked to an axle guy I was referred to and that would cost approximatly 8-10K, which is nearly what I paid for my RV in the first place, so that's to take into consideration lol.
