Safe-T-Plus

I haven't tested the Steer Safe so I can't comment on it but we do have members with that device installed.

I had the Steer Safe added to my MH last July and I feel that the handling in crosswinds and passing vehicles was much improved. It was much easier to hold a straight line. CW put mine on for $300 plus installation-might have been on sale. Hope this helps.

Added Steer Safe to my W-20 same as a WE-22. Installed myself. Just under $300.0. Makes a big differnece. Had one on my first MH a "P" series chassis. Have also treied Safety Plus and 4-Way system. Steer Safe seamed to work the best.

RVTen and RonP:

Which Steer Safe from CW did you order? I have one on my old P-30 and agree it works well. However, just check CW web site and they only show Steer-Safe for P-30 and several Ford chassis....I see nothing for the Workhorse W-20.

I installed the SS on our 1999 HR Vacationer 35 foot and it made a world of difference. I put it on our new 2004 Vacationer 37 foot on the W-22 WH and it does not make much difference. I had the Factory rep for HR check out our steering and he said it was okay. It's not very hard to install yourself. I got my from CW for about $300

I forgot to tell you our first MH was on the Ford V-10 frame and our new one is on the Chevy W-22 frame. I still would not leave home without it. I'm also considering adding the Safety-T-First. I think that is the name, inadditiond to the SS. Our MH still "floats" a little. I need to get it weighed to see if I have it loaded properly and the tires with the right pressure. I'll probably get it done at the FMCA conv in Perry in March. s/Toby

I think the addition of the steer safe is a good buy. I have a Itasca Suncruiser 38ft and it helps keep it straight in high winds and passing trucks. Cw did the installation on my 35 ft and the dealer moved it to the new RV.
