How in the world can you have 5 out of 6 bent wheels? Seems to me you should know immediately if you hit something hard enough to bend a wheel....

Maybe BENT is too strong a word, they were out of spec. due to side warp. on the rear it wasn't a problem, I suspect when the tires were changed, they moved wheels from the back to the front .

I know it has been a few days so perhaps the issue has been resolved but in case it hasn't I will put in my two cents worth so take for what it's worth. First, does it seem worst upon acceleration especially from a dead start? Any vibration will always show up in the steering wheel because that is what you have ahold of. I would be checking the driveshaft for bad u-joints or an out of phase drive shaft, especially if it had been towed in the past at some point.

Thanks for the great suggestions. I haven't had a chance to try any of them yet, but hope to get to it in the next couple of weeks. Will keep everyone posted if we can find the solution.

In case you need replacement wheels, there is an outfit on E-Bay selling Workhorse takeoffs for around $95 with free shipping. I recently ordered a 22.5" wheel to replace a bent one on my Dolphin and the replacement wheel was the exact same Workhorse part number as the original. If you need to find them let me know and I'll see if I can come up with a link to the listing. Solved my vibration problem and in fact I have no weights or beads at all on that wheel now and it's been perfect up to 75 mph.

It's been a long time ago but I remember a device that the tech used as we drove down the road to measure the harmonics of the vibration. It sat on the floor. From that a possible source was suggested.
Don't overlook the drive shaft as a possibility. They can be out of balance also.
My centramatic balancers cured the steering wheel vibrations for me.

Vibrate

Could be a pitman arm or the bell crank?
