Hi UFO Pilot,

Will your extended warranty company not cover it?

I don't know if they will cover. They covered the fuel pump replacement in April. Workhorse should replace the pump under their warranty but I don't know about the labor. The parking brake is a separate issue.

The new fuel pump was installed and it wouldn't work. They pulled it and bench tested and it ran fine. Started chasing wiring and found a burnt connector at the fuel pump relay. They are hoping to have it all fixed by Friday.

Wow, that has to be frustrating, any speculation why the connector was burnt.

The tech doing the work has been off sick for the last 2 days and they don't want to put someone else on it.

They want to get it all together and then try to find what caused the wiring problems.

Wayne: So sorry to read about this double-bummer. I can only guess this is getting expensive, since the original replacement pump wasn't defective after all. Not much point in second guessing what "should" have been done before dropping the tank the second time. Good luck, and "HI" to Roberta.

They are still saying the "old" pump won't run on the bench so maybe the electrical problems damaged it. The shop owner told me yesterday that the shop that put the "old" pump in is taking care of the new pump and labor to replace it. I am using "old" in reference to the pump that was installed in April.

Hi Ufo,

I am so sorry to hear about the issue. I hope the tech gets back to work today and fixes the issue.

The MH is running and has been test driven. The parking brake is now working as it is supposed to. They have a few things to "clean up" and I should get it back on Monday.

Hopefully they found all of the problems that caused this.

Well it is back at home, new fuel pump and new fuel pump relay plus they replaced the connector that was burnt.

The burnt pin is on the left side.

They reconnected the parking brake and it seems to be working OK.

Was that connector associated with the fuel pump/relay wiring?
