I bought one for our 1999 Safari Trek with 7.4 engine. Real world, seat-of-the-pants, review is that the additional power can definitely be felt but no real difference in fuel consumption. Installation was kinda cranky getting fasteners removed from the ECM mounting, but nothing that an ordinary DYI person couldn't do. For my use, on a 100,000 mile engine, I am satisfied with the product.
