W22 CHASSIS Brake Recall
I am the proud owner of a 2003 Winnebago Brave with the W22 Workhorse Chassis. I purchased the vehicle from a individual. On the way home the brakes finally loosened up after 45 miles. After applying the brakes it would takes another 10-15 miles to loosen back up. My research revealed my Motorhome has 2 recalls. One with brakes and one with the instrument cluster. Has any else dealt with getting the recalls fixed??

Post up your vin# and I believe Ed or Driver can run it to see if the recalls have been done.
Would love to see some pics of your "new" RV

I really hate to bear bad news, BUT, according to the WCC Warranty database, your 2003 chassis is a W-20 (GVWR 20,700 pounds) with 19.5" wheels AND none of the three (3) recalls issued for that chassis have been completed.
If you want the build sheet that confirms this news, send me an email: edgray1@gmail.com I will attach the info to a reply-it won't display correctly here.

Are all three recalls now closed or are any still covered?
Either way, that's a nice looking Brave and it would be worth doing the recall work or having it done.

AFAIK, Navistar remains responsible to complete ANY recall issued by WCC, unless Navistar were to file BK. However, minor recalls such as the Actia cluster re-flash may have expired-I really don't know. Serious issues like the Bosch Caliper recall are still be completed at Navistar's expense, I believe.

Ed I hope you find this we just bought 2004 Fleetwood Bounder today 4/10/2019 when test drove the RV everything was fine - in the way home 21 miles it started shaking and hard to accelerate- the brake smell like burning brake fluid - by the time I got home the brakes were very spongy - I am sure my RV has never had any of the recalls preformed I am Completely flabbergasted I want to get new tires and take it out the road? I can’t figure out how to get the recalls done. Please give me guidance should I just pay to fix the brakes?

Without the last 8 characters of the chassis vin #, I can't confirm the status of WCC recalls.

I found the PM you sent with vin #. You are correct about the Bosch Brake recall, 51101-C, not being completed. There are two other recalls that were completed. If you want the "build sheet" that confirms this, send an email to edgray1@gmail.com so I can attach it to a reply because it will not display correctly here or in PM.
