Hi Joe
My starter solenoid would not engage. Dash display was dead. Some other items controlled by the ignition switch were working.
Check the voltage on the heavy pink wire on the ignition switch. Mine did not have the necessary 12 volts when the switch was turned on. On my 2002 P32 chassis the switch is located on the back of and on the bottom of the steering column. The pink wire is near the top of the switch. The switch is a linear actuated slide switch.

Was the ignition switch bad or just no voltage to the pink wire?

When I bought my 2006 on Workhorse chassis the ignition switch had been replaced. I think it was because of a recall. Sounds like your problem could very well be the ignition switch.

Ignition switch is a common failure. See if this post matches your symptoms and note the modification to solve for a reoccurance:

This link has info on how to replace the ignition switch as well as the mod.

Joe, the Pink wire is the main output - the output causing the majority of switch melting problems due to overcurrent. If no voltage on the pink wire the ignition switch probably failed.

So just curious what WH chassis does he have? W20 or 22? I didn't see it stated.
