Workhorse brake recall status

I have been trying to determine if the brake recall has been completed on the new to us motor home. Tried the gov recall site that was posted on this forum. Nothing came back but a statement to contact the manufacturer. I have a 2006 Monaco Monarch SE, 8.1, Allison transmission on a 2005 workhorse chassis. Vin number is 5B4MP67G853407787 The coach had 25,000 miles when purchased. There was no paper work or records with the coach. I believe this is on the recall list? Also does anyone know if this is a W20 chassis? Thanks

workhorse brake recall status

What size is your MH? Look back in the Workhorse forums on your serial numbers and determine your chassis size I forget which digit tells you your chassis size. Look up in the cabinet above the drivers seat and see what your chassis weight is. Look for the GVWR on the labels. If you have 22.5 wheels it won't be a w-20. You might have a w-24 if so your not in the recall models.

It does have 22.5 wheels, either a 35 or 36'. Hope this helps. Thanks

Looks like the GVWR is 22,000 and the model is W32122. This is off a sticker in the coach. Hope this helps. Thanks

Your 2005 W-22 chassis had the Bosch Brake and the Fuel rail dampener clip recalls both COMPLETED in July 2015 @ 15,773 miles.

If you want the entire "build sheet", send an email to edgray1@gmail.com so I can attach it to a reply.

It is the sixth vin position that is code for chassis MODEL.

P32 chassis will have either a "3" or a "5" in the sixth position.

W-20, 21, & 22 will have a "6"

W-24 & 25.5 will have an "A"

R-26 aka UFO will have an "F"

R32 diesel pusher chassis ???

It is the tenth vin position that is code for the model YEAR.

Your post is correct.

However, other readers should understand that for many of the "early years", Workhorse W-series MODEL numbers began with a "P" rather than a "W".

Needless to say, a model number such as P32122 (for example) confused a lot of parts counter guys into thinking the chassis was a P-32. WRONG. It is the last two digits of the model number that indicates the chassis model.

The first three numbers of the model number are code for the length of the wheel base, as built by WCC.

That 2002 W-22 has had both brake recalls completed. There are no other recalls open.
If you want the entire build sheet, send me an email so I can attach it to a reply. Ed

I have 22.5" wheels on a W22 2003 Pace Arrow 35G. Mine was part of the recall for brakes.

If you are pre 2004 and maybe even some 2004 models you are not a W24. Typically if you are 36' or less you will not be on a W24 chassis.

I have a w22 workhorse chassis VIN number 5B4MP67G323346957 . I believe the recalls have been done but could you check and let me know if there is anything outstanding? I had a left rear caliper stick and will be changing out all Four Corners. Thanks!
