That vin is a 2002 W-22 with 19.5" wheels built 4-5-2002. It had 2 brake recalls, and BOTH were completed. If you want the "build sheet" confirming this, send me an email so I can attach it to a reply.

Welcome to iRV2 and the workhorse forum.

That vin is for a 2004 W-22. it had 3 recalls, and sadly the "big one" aka the Bosch brake caliper replacement recall 51101-C has NOT been completed, according to the warranty records at WCC. There is a warranty repair history for the RF wheel end (only)that shows they replaced the caliper and rotor, but that was done before the recall was issued, and I assume that means the OE style caliper was installed.
WCC / Navistar is still obligated to perform the recall at no charge on this chassis for parts and labor. Unless you can get considerable compensation for getting the recall done, I would NOT purchase this MH until the brake recall is completed by a WCC / Navistar ASC. If you want more details, send me an email.

I have no info on the "house" built by National RV, but I believe the Dolphin models were top of the line back then, not the sea breeze models..

That vin is for a 2004 W-22 sold to FLTW in PA. It had 2 recalls, but the Bosch Caliper "brake recall" still shows as "open", which means NOT DONE.
If you want the build sheet showing this and what components were used during assembly, send me an email. Edgray1@gmail.com

That Vin # is a 2003 W-20 (20,700 GVWR) built on 8-28-2002 and sold to FLTW in Riverside, CA.
It had 3 recalls and all were completed. There are no other recalls on this chassis.

workhorse recall

here's my update on my '05 Southwind 32v workhorse brake recall out come .
The only shop authorized and might do the work was 100 miles away.
They would not replace the warranty items without replacing other parts they deemed necessary which is at "owners" expense. i don't think they wanted the warranty work or the hassle.
This expense added up to more than doing the repairs on my own.
We did change the front brakes/calipers and what ever else was need via a reputable local RV shop. Everything works great. If replacement parts are needed again we have the part (s) numbers and where we purchased them.
Anyone else have similar warranty issues and how they dealt with it.
If so, that may help others going through this process on older chassis's?? Thanks!!

Thanks for this update. FWIW, I don't blame you for deciding to do the caliper replacement at your own expense rather than traveling to a distant ASC to get the recall completed "for free", especially since the shop you contacted wanted you to pay for other things that only they would determine as necessary. THAT is ridiculous, IMO.

All that said, I'm perplexed by your decision to replace only the front calipers. Why not replace the rear calipers also, which will effectively "complete" the recall and eliminate the possibility of a future failure?

To be clear, until a Workhorse ASC files for reimbursement from WCC for doing the recall, it will remain "open" in the WCC warranty database and that "could" complicate things when you are ready to sell or trade.

WELCOME to iRv2.com

That 2005 W-22 had 2 recalls, one for the fuel rail CLIP and one for the faulty Bosch brake calipers. Both recalls were completed, according to the warranty records at WCC.
