You could start by contacting Brazel's RV Performance's Profile for information. You can also contact edgray, an expert on Workhorse chassis.

Also read this bulletin and the link within.

According to the WCC warranty database, that is a 2003 W-20 chassis (20,700 GVWR) with 19.5" wheels. There were three recalls, including the Bosch brake recall, which was completed in December 2010 @ 32,330 miles.

If you want the build sheet which shows more info, send an email to edgray1@gmail.com

The ONLY recall on that chassis was the Bosch brake recall 51101-C. WCC records show it was completed in Dec 2010 @ 10,097 miles. Email me for the build sheet if you want it.

Thank you for your help. It seems strange going from a 40 foot freightliner chassis back to a 32 foot Workhorse. I had a 35 foot Workhorse for 7 years before going to the 40 freightliner but age and health required a smaller coach that the wife can drive. The Empress Elite is still in front of the house being prepared for sale and the Triple E Commander is sitting behind it awaiting many modifications (keeps my mind busy).
Thanks Again JCM

That vin is a 2004 W-22 sold to Tiffin. All 3 recalls were completed, with the Bosch Calipers done in Sept. 2010 @ 25, 952 miles.

There are no open recalls.

Is this Workhorse subject to the recall?

I am looking to buy a 2006 Itasca Suncruiser 38T built on a 24K GVWR chassis with 22.5 inch tires. VIN 5B4MPA7G063413720. Is my understanding correct that is a W24 chassis and is not included in the brake recall?

YES, you are correct. NONE of the W-24 series chassis were included in the Bosch caliper recall because they use Arvin-Meritor 4 piston calipers, not the 2 piston Bosch calipers. It has had two recalls for other minor issues, and they were completed.

Because it is a 2006 model, it does have the J72 AAPB system which MAY be problematic at some point, but there are aftermarket remedies available if it does cause problems. The 6 speed Allison 2100 tranny does not have an internal park pawl, hence the J72 AAPB, which has proven to be much more reliable than the previous J71 version.

Workhorse W22 Recall

Hello,

We just purchased a 2003 Pace Arrow 37a on a 2002 W22 chassis with a vin # 5b4mp67g923350530.

How's the best way to check for recalls and to determine if they have been repaired?

Thank you very much! Joe
