workhorse compressor a/c

I've seen the interchange numbers for the delphi compressors. I'd like to hear from members who have changed to delco or others and did they work as new? Seems to be a $400 difference in price.

I have a 2003 Monarch and 2 years ago my compressor clutch locked up. I got my replacement at Napa but it took them 3 units before they got the correct one.Jim

Thanks for the response, I think I'll carry it in to napa and see what they say. It's tough to spend 5-6 hundred on a compressor that will last 30-40 thousand miles and break again. The clutch seems to be a bad design.

I may just change clutch bearing every 20 thousand miles for $30.
