Kind of makes you want to know why they are defending it so much, huh frontrange?

It's because they are pleased with the results from throwing down a chunk of change.

I know if I threw down that much cash for a performance product that I would want it to work like it is advertised, and as far as I can see from all the positive comments on UP that it performs as well as it is touted.

I think it comes down to the fact that you are satisfied with your stock RV and there is nothing wrong with that other than you can feel all snuggly safe without worrying about your warranty being voided while others are smiling ear to ear with the performance upgrade and mpg improvement through something that is completely covered by its own warranty if it is the cause of failure.

Alright, your turn to try to negate everything I just said and keep up the perception of you just being a grumpy old man.

I may not know all the rules of this forum but is it a requirement to have a profile? I have been following all the threads about UP because it is an interesting product, I may not have posted before but I read all the posts and would like to be heard once in a while...unless I have to reach a certain amount of posts to be able to get my .02 out there...? Sorry for coming off rude, I am trying to be sincere and would like to know if its alright if I participate in the discussion?

I just don't think it is all that flattering to WH that so many people feel they have to add all these upgrades to make them happy with their purchase. Even to the point of jeopardizing their warranty for them and anyone else who buys their MH in the future.

I suggested that your motorhome was designed to work with the valve that the OE shipped with it and I suggested that you should have that valve replaced to restore it to factory condition. A manual valve works just as well however you've remove the automated feature which you shouldn't have to deprive yourself from having. I have never scolded you Max, I thought we were friends.

Max49,

The UltraPower Warranty covers the changes made to the various tables or if you go into a WCC dealer or an Allison dealer and the UltraPower is overlayed then the upgrade will be installed again for free. If there is a change to UltraPower then your update is free. It does not cover anything else.

But, if your MAF goes out because of a over oiled filter it's your responsibility to fix not Brazel's, assuming you have the CAI installed.

FrontRangeRVer,

I don't think we downplayed it. This is business as usual for GM an WCC. It is just a CYA on their part to protect themselves from the Bozo that tries something, screws up and tries to get WCC or GM to pay for his mistake. On the other hand the OEM's will use it to try and get out a warranty claim.

Personal example - I had 2 Firestone Steeltex tires blow out in 2 months on a class C I owned. They had less the 20k and we about 4 years on. They were made at the Ducator plant. Firestone first claimed over inflated or under inflated. When I showed them my log of tire pressure checks and temps, they then said it was a curb break. IE - I hit curb or pot hole. They wanted me to send them the tires for inspection on my nickel. When I said they could come and get them on their nickel and the I wanted them returned. They declined and indicated that the tire will be destroyed in testing. I asked how can you destroy a tire that has no cap. They finally settled after I told them they will be hearing from my attorney.

475,

A chunk of cash... You bet. Have you considered what it costs to produce the product and what product liability insurance costs.

Go the DIY route of want to save some money...

But consider that a ECM programming package will run a few thousand and you will have to learn what to change and pay for dyno time.

If you plan to make some trac bars you best have some welding skills and some serious tools.

Or you can just keep you got and comment on those that have made the changes.

I am responsible for my actions and have yet to ask anyone to pay for my mistakes.

Well,
Since I did not get an answer to my EO# question, I will keep my money in my pocket.
