Workhorse recall 61102-AFC
Just noticed that my coach has an open campaign 61102-AFC: "The speedometer and odometer readings may be higher." Anyone know anything about this?

Campaign Description: 61102-AFC
The speedometer and odometer readings may be higher. (than the actual vehicle speed)
Workhorse has decided to perform an authorized field change (AFC) on certain W22, W24 and W62 model chassis built from January 18, 2010 through April 15, 2010 with a General Motors L18 (8.1L) gasoline engine. The repair will involve the replacement of the existing power control module (PCM) with one having updated software. Workhorse will ship an updated PCM to the servicing dealer utilizing an exchange program. The repair will be performed free of charge for a limited time and take approximately 24-72 hours to complete. Adjust scheduling accordingly and advise the customer of the time frame required for completion.

Hey DriVer,
This may be a dumb question, but how or where can one look to identify which chassis and when it was built. Like mine says it is a 2010, which I bought new in Nov. 2011 however I read somewhere on this forum that workhorse stopped production in 2009? Curious minds want to know..
Thanks & Happy Camping,
Barney

I would agree strongly IF you had one in your pocket. From a dead start and turning the vehicle around and out the door may be what's take up that time.
I can change an ECM in less than an hour.

Barney, Your build date is: 11-16-2009 and you are not involved in the 61102-AFC.

Although I am here most of the time and I pick up on these questions almost right away, there are as many as 7-8 other people that use this forum that can come up with that information as well.

Workhorse didn't stop, GM stopped the 8.1. This is always confusing. WH is, right now, all Ford engined.
But the true travelers are they who leave for leaving’s sake
Saying continuously, without knowing why: ‘Let us go on’.
Paraphrased from Baudelaire’s ‘The Journey’

Posts that add to the confusion MUST be addressed.
The FACT is that there has NEVER been a Workhorse chassis with a FORD engine, and "right now" there is NO gasoline powered Workhorse chassis being produced. They are using the Maxxforce diesel engines ONLY. Ed

Could you please extend and or please continue your thought about the quoted post in regard to the Ford engined. Thanks.
