if the rv is in drive and there is an issue will the auto park lock? if so that is what I am worried about. i was wondering if there was any alternative to this auto park brake.

i have to say it does help to hear from you guys that you have not had any issue with it. I really like my Rexhall rv on this platform it is better than many diesel rvs. the 2 full wall slides are increasable.
I turn the battery disconnect off every time the MH goes into storage. I have been doing so since 2007.

when I spoke to someone at PRECISION SALES & SERVICE Birmingham, AL 35212 asking about this chassis he said never to disconnect the chassis battery. I had my coach getting service recently and they did turn the battery disconnect off for over a month. I told him this and he said I got lucky. I don't know why people have so much miss information on these chassis that are so called workhorse service centers. I apricate all the help you guys have been giving.

How would you ever replace the chassis battery if you couldn't disconnect it?

that's what I asked him and he said i would need to use a jumper. it all seemed odd to me.

He said he had the software on his computer and a local dealer had this issue come up and he went over to them to load it back on as it was erased. I just hope that was a onetime glitch or something.

Alarms and Soft Breaks

I hate to bring an old thread back but I ran into this issue last night. Had been driving for 4 hours and hit some light rain. The bugs smeared so I stopped for 20 minutes to clean the windshield. When I started the coach the ABS alarms sounded and stayed on. I was able to silence them by pushing the trip button. After the alarms, the breaks were soft and I had a hard time stopping. I hear the pump running as normal so I am not sure were to start troubleshooting this. I have not attempted to start the coach yet today so the issue may have resolved over night. I am about to join the Facebook group and start reading. I would appreciate any basic troubleshooting steps you guys may have for these systems.

Turned the ignition over and the alarms are still present. Checked and fluid is in the middle of min and max. The only thing I have not done that I have seen mentioned is to disconnect the negative for a few minutes.

ABS alarms

My 2008 Winnebago Destination UFO, R26 has been at a workhorse service dealer (Holman Motors, Batavia, OH) for 2 1/2 years, yes…years. They have not been able to resolve the ABS Warning lights. I had a call from them today and I asked if it was safe to drive I was told the RV has brakes and you can drive to California and back. The service rep said ABS is a safety feature, computerized so it pumps your brake automatically, before ABS pumping your brakes to prepare to stop. I have read multiple articles that say you shouldn’t drive until repairs are done. I asked him to email me a status report of my RV plus an invoice for charges. I should receive the email it next week and it sounds like they are ready for me to pick it up.
Originally the problem was The parking brake would not release and BRAKE FAILURE warning, at this point I don’t remember if the ABS warning was on or not. QUESTION…..IS IT SAFE TO DRIVE WITH ABS WARNING LIGHT ON????
