Driving to the tire shop there was a 20mph wind on the highway so could not check the tracking.

They did not dismount the tires but mounted temporary plastic extenders until they can get me shorter chrome ones.

Watch those extenders, they are notorious for leaking.

Thanks UFO pilot. I asked them about that.

I really wanted them to dismount the wheels and put longer stems on but by the time they mucked around with the extenders they did have tine before closing. They did only charge me 21$ and I got to go for a drive.

Leaky extenders is what caused me to buy a portable compressor.

Workhorse UFO ride and handling

I had a new set of tires installed last month. The place subcontracted the installation to a guy who does roadside assistance. He pulled in with his truck, jacked up, removed and swapped the tires and valve stems. Very professional and really quick quick.

Wondering if you can find someone similar to come to your house and do the valve stem swap and rotation. Next time, I may try to find someone to come to the house and buy my tires online.

The UFO did not and does not have cooling issues, not like previous gas pushers such as the GMC and others. Quite the opposite actually. The UFO prototype which was the Monaco version of my coach actually when tested in Death Valley ran too cool and as a result was not as fuel efficient as Workhorse needed it to be. So they did a bit of tweaking to make it run warmer. As stated here there was a problem with the FCA early on. The oil in it was the wrong viscosity and would overheat causing the Fan Clutch assembly to run too much and too fast until it failed. That was corrected by a self recall from Workhorse. The reason the UFO or any other gas pusher is not being made is due to market forces not engineering issues (other than the cost of design and development), the economy crashing in 2009 and the demise of the road worthy Chevy 8.1 Vortec engine. The UFO is not being made for many of the same reasons the front gas chassis by Workhorse is now out of production. IMHO there is no ultimate reason that some manufacturer could not put a Gas Pusher chassis back on the market. I love my coach, live in it full time and would not trade it for anything on the market right now. The cost for a rear engine coach anywhere near as nice as mine would be over 2 times what I paid for my UFO which I bought new.

I got the Koni shocks fitted and Safety Plus (as well as full brake flush).

The agreement with the truck shop was that they would fit the the stabiliser bar and then go back for an adjustment was needed. It is pulling to the right which may mean an alignment is needed (they cannot do this).

I will speak to safety plus about this tomorrow to figure out it its just an adjustment or an assignment.

I had budgeted to get an alignment done anyway.

Friend had safety plus installed at Ga. Show. They took coach for extensive test ride and adjusted it for any pulling. His was actually rught on the money.
