Yes ,it was very worn out when I bought the coach to the point where it does not hold on hills. When I spoke to the mechanic before inspection and told him about it for safety purposes ,he told me it must be replaced before he inspects the motorhome this year. I would like it done anyway. He has been looking for 3 weeks now and cannot locate the brake assembly. Workhorse and Ultrarv are out of stock not sure where else to look for new unit or rebuilt one.

The link provided above to that part at URVP doesn't show that the part is "out of stock", but IF you have talked to Jon Brazel or Alan Sanders at URVP and they couldn't help find one, I noticed the description also includes a FREIGHTLINER part number for the brake assembly. MAYBE you can find one going thru FCCC parts suppliers???

Ultra rv shows two different brake ass'ys for your model. Do you have the type with shoes like the old cars had or the multi disc type. They show the one with discs for the Allison as available. The shoe type as sold out.

This place shows it and does not out of stock but we all how much that means.

I have the J72 prop shaft assembly I don’t believe it is serviceable. If it is serviceable I believe only a Spring shop or someone with the correct equipment could rebuild it. Only one hydraulic hose to unit to supply pressure to release the brake

PS you might want to invest in the US2078 - UltraStop Park Brake Module Replacement With UltraSave Kit
https://www.brazelsrv.com/US2078-Ult...-UltraSave-Kit
I installed the older version in this video

Ultra RV is the place to work with on the J72. Alan Sanders saved two of our trips due to issues we were having. Can't say enough good things about the level of support we have gotten.
