'06 F53 horn upgrade

I'm looking to upgrade the horns on my '06 F53 chassis.

The air compressor in the FIAMM kit requires a 20A fuse and a relay (supplied).

Looking at other forums for fuse diagram such as the one below

https://www.winnieowners.com/forums/...1&d=1455047553

It appears that the horn is already on a 20A circuit.

If I can find the fusebox and verify this, I imagine I can just use the electrical connectors for the stock horns, mount the horns and compressor and I'm good to go?

Probably. Here's the schematic for the Ford portion of the horn circuit, it matches what your chart shows. You should be able to use it to figure out the rest of the circuit.

Look at my posts on this thread:

You'll find the Ford horns connected to the supply wires with a connector (C131 on the diagram in post #2). You can buy a matching pigtail: WPT-1193 (Ford part number 3U2Z-14S411-DCAB). By using the pigtail to wire in your new relay you won't need to cut or splice into the Ford harness wiring. In my opinion, that's a better idea.

My MH came with those horns 2012 F53, they were tapped into the stock wiring. They worked fine. Then I installed a set of air horns, much more impressive sound, and only cost $250 and I had a way to air up tires.

Thanks all.

Quick search reviews no connector available online in Canada.

I had a look at the OEM horn and was wondering of this is the connector on the OEM horn?

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07FVJR31Z/

I'm not sure how accurate the measurements are but 13/16" x 9/16" appears tp be the size of the (male) plug.

Here's a couple of photos of the horn connector and the connector from the relay.

Horn bracket appears welded to the chassis so not easily removed.

At that price, it's worth buying to see it it will fit. From the pictures and description, it should.

Thanks. Did precisely that (and ordered Forscan adapter). If it doesn;t fit, I'll just get a couple of nails and solder wires to them.

Connectors were a perfect fit. The compress motor had a faulty design for the connector tab pushes in) so I had to open it, hold back the bushings and connect the wire before putting it back together. Slightly higher volume than the stock horn as not as deep as I would have liked.

FWIW, the OEM horn (dual, snail) is also branded as FIAMM.
