1994 Ford F53 Chassis Manual Available
I have access to the 1994 Ford F53 Chassis complete service manual to include some schematics.
If you are interested in any parts of the manual, please let me know & I can share them with you free of charge. Specify what specifics you are looking for.
I believe the manual can apply to years beyond 1994, not sure of when any big changes came through.

Sounds like what you really want is a fuel pressure gauge. Harbor Freight has a reasonably priced one. Put it on and test. At all times your fuel pressure shouldn't drop lower than about 35 psi.
I made a long post not so long ago about Ford fuel pumps. In your case I'd guess the same either a bad pump and/or a clogged pump filter. Our Fords have three fuel filters, all of which can clog if there's enough crud in the tank. Don't ask me about fuel tank crud.

Good morning, or at least it is now! I just about cried when I read your post! I have a 1994 Ford F53 chassis Southwind that is being a bit of a nightmare currently & have been dead in the water for a few days too long. I hope you still have access to that Service manual. I have searched high & low to no avail. I'm looking for diagrams and info on the electrical system, battery disconnect, relay, fuses, ignition module.
Here's what happened & symptoms experienced; I drove it (ran great although there had been a few electrical quirks, such as panel monitor lights always on & incorrect. Dash lights always on, cig lighter didn't work. I'd noticed the battery disconnect didnt click either. Found a group of wires up front that had been burned and some cut from just before the intellitect board. Tested some were hot. But it still had power to 12 volt system & started and drove just fine. So I parked, the cab map lights weren't working so I checked the bulb & it flew out of the socket. When I came out of the store, there was no power to 12 volt lights or fuse boxes. Wouldn't crank or start. Please help with whatever diagrams you feel would be helpful. THANK YOU´´´

Sorry to tell you this, but the manual he has won't have anything to do with the problems you have, with the exception of the ignition and dash issues. His manual will cover only the chassis provided by ford, and not cover the components installed by the coach manufacturer.

Thank you for letting me know. I was wondering if it would help. I guess what I'm really trying to track down is the Fleetwood Southwind electrical wiring plans with details from 1994 for a Ford chassis. I found a couple of the plans already, but the image quality is poor & I cant read the words of important labels on the diagrams. I'm learning as I go. Trial & error and back to square one.
Here goes a long shot, Does anyone have the intellitex fuse board diagram? Mine has a battery disconnect mini control board that slides out sideways onto a fuse place. I'm wondering if it needs replacing or repair. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks again!

It sounds like you have EXACTLEY what I need in the form of a chassis manual. In particular interest is the Dash fuses and blower motor operating controls. I'm still checking over what I purchased BUT it sounds as though the AC compressor turns on BUT the blower is dead. Regards, Mike

A large part of the issue you speak of can be diagnosed with a simple and cheap 12 volt test light. For example, if you suspect a blown fuse it only takes and extra couple of minutes to test ALL the fuses. Bonus if you find a blown fuse, replace it, and then find another thing started working.
Blower motor circuits of that era are pretty straightforward

I'm particularly interested in the dash wiring section. The blower fan is not operational. Regards, Mike

I'm very interested. Having issues with A/c and looking for clutch relay for compressor also other various things I have a 1994 f53 fleetwood bounder 28 ft been doing most of the work myself but looking up parts has been really fustrating. exploded views of parts lists would be awesome too. working on steering column, looking for right ignition switch, and just would like to have complete manual so I can continue keeping this wonderful part of our family going.

I would be happy to pay for a copy of this manual if possible, looking for some factory part numbers for the front suspension and steering on my 93 f53, thanks, Tim
