1996 Ford 460 7.5L (Stock Waterpump or Aluminum Hi-Flow pump)

I am in the process of replacing my radiator and since it is out I am going to go threw the engine components to see what should be replaced. I am definitly replacing the water pump but am unsure as whether to go with a new stock ford pump or a performance aftermarket aluminum hi-flow pump.

If anyone has done this your input would help. I am worried about corrosion with having aluminum and reliability of a aftermarket part. I am new to this rv thing but have been working on cars my whole life but not into performance stuff. I am more into classic Cadillac and GM vehicles all stock so I do not have any experience with performance parts. This is actually my first big block I have ever owned and I know it works hard pushing this rig.

What type radiator are you going with? I had seen some posts about the aluminum pump - might try a search. I may need to replace my radiator?

The OEM cast iron pump is more than sufficient. Don't waste your money on a high flow or aluminum pump.
Be aware, there are 2 different style radiator offered for F53 chassis. Look at the pictures closely. The one that DOESN'T fit MHs will probable have 1451 in the pt.#
Also be aware, your OEM radiator has 20 fins per inch and all the replacements, that I can find, only offer 15 fins per inch and don't cool properly.
A well qualified radiator shop can replace the end tank gasket on you OEM radiator.
