Maybe the anti-slosh card came loose in your cluster or the anti-slosh card has a bad cap on it.

It is grounded through the wiring and the ground wire gets grounded near the fuel tank on the frame and also other places as well.
Yes you can say it is grounded thru the pick up and pump system as the pump also uses the same ground wire.

So if the pump is working the fuel gauge sender has a good ground also. Besides if the wiring from the cluster for the gauge to ground thru the fuel tank to ground was open then the gauge would peg passed the full mark on the gauge.

The anti-slosh card:

you have never said what the needle does.
Does it peg out above full when you turn on the key?
Does it peg below empty when you turn on the key?

The anti-slosh board (card) just plugs into the back and on one end of the cluster in the dash.

If it just points to the "E" and does not peg below the "E" then I would say you have a bad gauge.

I would think a bad slosh-module or not making contact would peg the needle above the "F".
You can try unplugging the plug on the frame and see if the needle will peg out above full with the key on.
I take it that the volt gauge does show battery voltage with the key on.

Staying pegged below "E" would say you have a short to ground somewhere between the fuel gauge and the fuel sending unit or if wiring of the fuel sending unit and the pump has been done then maybe it is miss wired.

Well I got time to work on my MH fuel gauge today . Even more baffled. If I turn off the main battery switch so nothing works then the fuel gauge starts to climb slowly. Turn the power back on rite back to empty. Pulling my hair out I don't want to replace pump and sending unit for 600.00$ if thats not the problem . Thanks
