1997 Pace Arrow steering gearbox

I have a 1997 Fleetwood on f53 chassis. It seems the power steering gearbox is leaking a small amount where arm comes out of gear box. Is it fixable or replace? Any idea about part number. I checked on it but none of the numbers seem to work.

I think a gear box is like a lot of other assembles. A rotating shaft coming out of a gear box that has oil or lubricant inside has a rubber seal. They can be replaced. There are several application of those seals all around every vehicle. Axle, drive shaft, auto transmission tail shaft, axle, front and rear crankshaft and differential seals etc etc. They are everywhere.

All other seals that I've replaced can be removed. There are several ways to do it. I've made a small hole on the flat surface of the seal and used a seal puller which is a slide hammer with a screw on the end. Screw the tool into the tiny hole and slide the hammer back and it pulls the seal. There's going to be a number on the seal. Or take it to a parts house and get a replacement.

You can also push an ice pick into the seal and pry it out. It shouldn't damage the seal badly and the number should be present or just measure it at the parts store.

Just do a search for 97 F 53 pitman shaft seal. It seems that everyone carries it. Biggest job would be removing the pitman arm.
