1999 Newmar Dutch Star F53 Triton V10 is having no start issues. Here are the symptoms:
Ran in April for our trip to the coast. Unloaded at the house and then at time to move to its parked location it was having low cranking revolutions. Boost was applied and then started up. Moved it to its spot set the jacks extended the slide out and locked it up.
Went to start it July for the trip back to the coast and it just cranks. Sounded low on cranking amps again so tried the boost. Nothing this time just cranks. So I replaced the battery since they had some age on them. Replaced the house batteries as well. All new batteries in MH & Chassis. Nothing still same symptoms. Repacked the CPS & Knock Sensor. Nothing still same symptoms. No wires are chewed or broken everything appears in tact. Swapped out PCM Relay #6 with #4 then #5 and same symptoms. No Fuel pressure after testing and no spark at spark plugs. Removed air hose at intake manifold shot with starting fluid to see if any combustion was going to occur. Nothing still same symptoms. The key switch when turning over seems to sometimes engage the starter and sometimes it does not. Thought maybe gear selector was faulting but does not seem to be.
Could the ignition switch be faulting out and not be sending power to the PCM?
If the slide out and jacks are down with it prevent from starting?
I have been searching for a service manual and found one at
www.helm.inc but I am still waiting for it to arrive?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
