Hello, New today to the forum and had a question on zerks on the u-joints. I found them and after several attempts to fit the lube nozzel I was unable to get a fit to get grease in. I have three different heads on the grease gun and none would seal. The zerks were all in the 5 o'clock position. Does it take a special nozzel or does the drive shaft have to be rotated. I can't see how rotating would help this issue.

Also, it was obvious that the rubber cap on the stearing box zerk had never been removed before it looked dry and there was no grease showing until I put some in.

Thanks in advance.

I have a flex hose on my gun and have no problem getting it to seal. Do you have the needle adapter for the gun (it just pushes into the tip of the zerk)it may work.

I use an air pressure gun with a standard zerk fitting and the flexible hose. I have had no problem with my U-joint zerks at all. I can see with a non flexible shaft it might be a bear. Find some way to grease the Universals, they need it.
