2004 Forest River with Ford V10

Rodents chewed off wires to the head coolant temperature sensor. Looks like will have to r&r intake manifold. Does anyone know if rv could be driven 6 hours to where I live to have repairs made? Currently no check engine lights or driveability issues.

It is possible that if the temp sensor has chewed off wires, the ecm might throw a code that the sensor is out of range and possibly the fuel mixture could be affected, (rich) bad for the cat.

Are the wires too short to patch together? Sounds like a big expense for a small problem.

Sure it's not the knock sensor ?
They are under the intake.

You can drive without it but listen for the marbles in the engine under load. Let off the gas if you hear them.

It is the head coolant temp sensor and wires are two short. It isn't knock sensor and not engine coolant temp sensor. I also believe it may affect fuel mileage but nothing else
