2006 E-350 Key Fob and Internal Fuse block

I purchased a used 2007 Four Winds which sits on a 2006 E-350 Superduty cab and chassis.

I've since purchased a couple of key fobs for the door locks, but can't seem to get the computer into "program mode." I've tried the 8 times off/on and the locks never reset.

I would like to check the internal fuse block, but can't seem to find it. It is supposed to be on or under the left side of the dash next to the door/wheel well. I don't see anything there other than the parking break and its cover. Nothing at the very end of the dash either.

Can someone tell me where else to look?

Also, I obtained a copy of the original build sheet from Ford and it doesn't mention security group, key fobs, or anything similar. Is it also possible that it isn't capable of using them?

Thanks

Ford body builders web site has a lot of good information. Yes, it is possible that some functions are not available in all applications. So I understand though you have original key FOB's that work to lock/unlock the doors now and trying to add more fails? If the later be true not all aftermarket key FOBs work like OEM.

I could run your VIN also to check it. You can PM it to me if you would like.

I have original OEM key fobs. They have never been programmed.

My issue is how do I get the on board computer into "program mode."

There are numerous online resources that reference the 8 times off/on method. Several people have reported having to replace any one of three fuses located in the internal fuse block. I can not find my internal fuse block. I did check under the hood to see if it had been relocated there, but only the engine fuse block is present.

I have the factory build sheet direct from Ford. It references power locks and windows group.

What else would your vin check reveal?

Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Transmitter Programming Printable View

NOTICE: All remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitters must be programmed at the same time.
  1. Before entering the program mode, the vehicle must be electronically unlocked with the RKE transmitter or the door lock control switch while the driver door is open.
  1. Turn the ignition switch from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the eighth turn ending in RUN. If the module has successfully entered program mode, it locks and then unlocks all the doors.
  1. Within 20 seconds, press any button on a RKE transmitter and the doors lock and then unlock to confirm that each remote transmitter has been programmed. Repeat this step for each RKE transmitter.
  1. If the door locks do not respond for any RKE transmitter, wait several seconds and press the button again. If the door locks still fail to respond, refer to Inspection and Verification. Make sure that no more than the maximum number of RKE transmitters are being programmed.
  1. Exiting the programming mode is accomplished if 1 of the following occurs:
    • The key transitions to the OFF position.
    • 20 seconds have passed since entering programming mode or since the last RKE transmitter was programmed.
    • The maximum number of RKE transmitters have been programmed.
