Yes, a Ford is a Ford, motor and transmission. My mind wandered - it does that at times. Actually a post up above mentioned 'Allison' and I guess it infiltrated my mind.
Thanks,

You can help manage your RPMs and coasting ability by using all the tools Ford gave you with this fine transmission. IE, cancel cruise control and/or tap the tow haul mode button. Make sure you re-engage tow-haul afterward as it helps you in deceleration when coming to a stop by locking/unlocking the torque converter as well as downshifting for you to engage engine braking.

Good to read you again Mark Kovalsky!

GM owns Allison. Ford uses Ford transmissions, and they call them TorqShift transmissions.
The line between Ford and GM went sort of gray when they both worked on joint ventures on the 9 and 10 speed automatics…
I had that 10 speed in my 2017 Ford Raptor and it was a great transmission…

Mark, will the transmission still upshift if the operator has placed the shifter into a low gear at the top of the hill then allows the speed to increase to the point of over-speeding the engine?
