2021 7.3 Godzilla maintenance issue

45k on my engine and its needed a new air filter since 25k. I change oil every 6-7k and have had to blow out the old air filter each time to clean it up, as this part has been back ordered for over 7+ months.

Bitter taste in my mouth as new E-450's keep rolling off the assembly line, yet simple maintenance parts are unavailable.

Yes, been to 20+ Ford dealers, all the auto part big box stores, and contacted the Ford Motorhome customer disservice number on 3 occasions. The response is the same, Backordered with no time frames on availability !

FA-1782 is the Motorcraft PN. Amazon shows it in stock.

I am embarrassed that I never thought to look on Amazon or Ebay, and you are correct, both show availability.

Thanks, for the info, ordering one now

I think the correct part is fA-1953 also known to Ford as LC2Z-9601-A. I too have been searching for months. Ford dealerships, Amazon, Walmart, all back ordered with no time estimate.

After further review that part # was for an F53 chassis and not an E-450. The correct E-450 air filter is a FA-1953 and it remains unavailable everywhere.

I realized that last night after I was all happy to get this resolved only to learn nothing had changed, went to bed disgusted.

I replaced mine recently with Motorcraft - FA1782 Filter from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They are in stock, perfect fit, relatively easy install.

I've been told that part is for an F53 chassis and not for the E450. Do you have an E450 chassis ?

Your not supposed to blow out air filters, wash and dry, yes, but blowing it out risks opening the filter medium up and more dirt will pass thru.

Don't care if you do and get a million miles on the engine, it's not recommended.

Amazon FA2402 is an exact replacement

Motorcraft Air Cleaner Element - FA2042 Amazon URL: https://a.co/d/2QBPJL6/ (Part number LC2Z-9601-B)

I just received one today, and it is a perfect match for FA1953 (part number LC2Z-9601-A) for the 7.3L Godzilla engine air filter element.
