Thanks for all the replies and suggestions.
I did try to get the codes.....haven't been successful with that.
I mentioned to the service guy about the ECU and he said the mechanic had a call into Ford and if they suggest to look at that, then they will.
Today I got a new message from the original service guy who was on vacation. He tells me that they feel it is happening when the engine gets hot. So they are looking at the crank sensor and cam sensor. He says, it all has to do with timing????
Its been there almost 3 weeks now, after being there for over a month just before. I am concerned that they don't know what to do or how to figure out what is going on.
I may just call Ford myself.

Reading codes only gets you into the "church" a scanner/monitor that can display real time data is your way back out of the "church" you have to monitor , app1 app2 app3 AND etc results in real time, along with that sometimes freeze frame info is helpful. You have to graph the real time data to understand what ACTUALLY caused the wrench light to come on. Any other "sensors" as listed in prior posts are NOT related UNLESS they are on the same "vref" circuit as the app/etc are. I have even gone as far to heat soak the pcm to duplicate underhood temps while climbing hills. Probably 60 to 70% of the time it has always been a wire!/connector issue, pin push out, corrosion or pin fit issue. It just takes "QUALIFIED" technicians to find the root cause.
So, now the dealer says they are going to get a crank shaft sensor because of the codes they have and in relation to my issue after the vehicle gets hot is when its losing power.
I am not a mechanic, so this is Chinese to me?
Anyone out there understand what they are trying to say?
Thanks
