Alcoa wheels on a 2012 Ford F53

I just looked at a used 2008 Bounder for a friend of mine, and it had newer Alcoa wheels on it, really looked nice. I may look into pricing this for my rig, I have the steel 19.5" wheels now. Has anyone here upgraded to the Alcoa wheels? If so, what's your feedback?

Also, would you stay with the 19.5" or upgrade to the 22". I assume if I did this is would be about the time I need new tires and go new all the way. Just a thought...

You won't be able to change wheel size unless you make major changes on the front and rear hubs. The 19.5" wheels have a different bolt pattern and smaller studs. The the lug nuts are only torqued to a max of 160 ft. lbs. The 22.5" wheels require the lug nuts to be torqued to 450 ft. lbs.

Before buying any wheels make sure the aluminum ones need approximately the same lug nut torque as the steel ones.

When you do get these let us know where and how much it cost. I was also looking at getting some Alcoa wheels also. Would you PM me?

Thanks

Yea, I know that guy, his name is Steve. The Alcoa wheels look great on his white RV, he has since moved up to a Fleetwood pusher. I will stick with the Alcoa Durabright 19.5" wheels, should run me about $1,400.00 delivered from a couple sellers on ebay for 4 of them. Looking at a couple sites to get pricing, this one had a lot of great info, talked to a sales guy there twice yesterday.

Steve has a brand new set of Ford F53 19.5" Alcoa's that he was trying to sell. Good price too. I don't know if he's sold them yet or not. Might want to give him a PM.

Looks like he still has them:

As was mentioned in the other thread, make sure you know what you have, and what you are buying. Ford has used 19.5" x 6.0" and 19.5" x 6.75" in both 8x225 and 10x225 bolt patterns on F53's.

Ford has also used 8x275 bolt pattern 19.5" wheels on other applications.

The wheels Steve has for sale are polished but not clear coated, not what I'm looking for.
