Ambient outside air temp sensor

Hi all, I have a 2009 F-53 chassis. The computer on the dash indicates outside temp but does not show any numbers. I looked in the engine compartment and there is a plug socket hanging by the radiator. It is two wires and has a rubber o-ring to make the connection waterproof. Is this where the temp sensor should be? If so what would the part number be? Or better yet is it the same for all of the ford F-Series trucks so I can conduct a search online for the part? Thanks for any and all help....Jim in CT.

The ambient temp sensor on most vehicles is normally located under the front end, as close to the front as possible, clipped to the front bumper/cap/fascia, etc. In all cases I am familiar with, it is small black plastic, somewhat bullet-shaped.
