Arizona Ford warranty warning
Just a heads up. We recently bought a Winnebago
Adventurer 2022. After 5800 miles we had a flashing engine light. From diagnosis, # 3 cylinder misfiring, shouldn't be driven. ONLY ONE FORD RV WARRANTY REPAIR IN THE ENTIRE STATE! Sanderson Ford in Glendale.. I live 165 miles away
towing by Ford covered otherwise wise $ 975.00
Towing bill. Ford said would take RV to nearest Ford dealer. Guess what,, only one dealer in Arizona 165 miles away.

How hard would it be to check for a loose plug wire?

ASSUME this is the Ford V8 7.3 liter.
If so, this is a very widely known issue and TSB to fix.
Tow 165 miles for that-- NOT MINE! Even if I had to install the upgrade/replacements.

The Ford service center problem is not specific to AZ. When we were considering buying our F53 based motorhome, I checked with Ford online to find locations that would service an F53. I found numerous locations including the Ford dealership that is 4 miles from the house. It was after we bought the motorhome that I discovered you cannot believe the Ford website. There was only 1 dealership within 100 miles that was willing to service the F53. I have now gone to performing most service work myself. Never dreamed that I would still be crawling under vehicles to change the oil....

True story on not believing Fords website. I sorta knew before I bought the "A" as I had talked to my preferred local Ford shop that I deal with on cars. From the website I called several dealers in the Portland, OR metro area and soon as I said "F53 motorhome chassis" they said NO.
From my dealings with the Ford truck dealer, who I'm not thrilled with, I called Ford Customer Service. My choices were 160 miles one direction or 260 the other direction.

I used to have a gas RV and they are great people and I had great service!!!!!
BUT….. Have you called and asked how long till they have an appointment? Sometimes it’s 4-5 weeks till they can get you in.
Like you said they are the only one in the state and it’s snowbird season in Arizona right now.

Did you buy the motorhome in Arizona? If so, what Ford dealer did your selling dealer say they use for service? That's how we found the Ford Commercial dealer for our location.
Arizona is a big state. We had friends that live in Heber-Overgaard so I just used that as the location on the Ford Commercial site. The closest one to them is 99 miles away.
I looked up your location, Tumacacori, AZ, from your profile and the closest was Chandler, still 130 miles away.
About 400 Ford "Class A Motorhome" commercial dealers were found but I looked at several and they did not have a large enough service bay for our 22,000 GVWR 38' Class A.
How to find a Ford dealer that may be able to work on your motorhome:
Go here: https://fordcommercialvehiclecenter.com/
Enter the zip code or city name where you are looking. A list will begin to display. Select the correct one by clicking on it.
Click on Advanced Filters + at the top center.
Click on MOTORHOME - CLASS A at the top right and click Apply at the bottom.
Several dealers will display (hopefully).
Click on More Information next to one and scroll down.
Near the bottom left you will see DEALERSHIP SERVICE BAY DIMENSIONS. Example:
DEALERSHIP SERVICE BAY DIMENSIONS
➤ OPENING HEIGHT: 14'
➤ INTERIOR BAY HEIGHT: 28'
➤ BAY LENGTH: 90'
➤ LIFT CAPABILITY (IN TONS): 20 TONS

The point of the OP is lack of dealerships to service the F53. Having had one myself, I assumed Ford, in general would service it, but come to find out that the closest was in Madras, Or, or over the hill to Eugene or up to Portland. And, the Madras dealer has to do all the work outside as they do not have a lift, but have been talking about getting one for the past two years. This is the same scenario for people who purchase a MBS Sprinter chassis - good luck finding an "authorized" service center. Unfortunately, just not something you think about early on in the purchase process.

When I was looking for a Class A gasser I was pleased to see both my local Ford dealers had commercial departments.
One handled trucks. "An RV is not a truck". Uh, nice to meet you, too...
The other dealer can't handle units over 25 ft, bumper to hitch. That's a really small Class A.
It turned out the closest dealer with a suitable service bay, lift, and door height was 120 miles away in another state.
The take away? As much as we love RVing, especially our powered motor homes, ours is a niche market compared to the other uses of similar or identical chassis. For every Class A or Class C a truck or commercial dealer/shop sees, they've seeing hundreds of trucks. Everything about what they do is based around what those trucks do. Our needs, concerns and desires don't fit their work flow or business model.
