Brake Noise F-53

I recently bought a 2005 Scottadale on f-53 chassis w/13k miles. The brakes perform well but the power assist makes a high pitched whistling noise while stopped with my foot on the brake pedal. Is this normal?
Thanks

If yours has a vacum brake booster you could have a vac leak and it sucking air at the rod that goes though the firewall to the booster.

I asked a similar question about mine and it appears to be nothing to worry about. At least that's what I'm doing because after a thorough inspection I can find no reason for the noise except that I'm not used to hydraulic brakes systems. I drive heavy trucks and cars but nothing that's hydraulic so this is a first for me. Good luck

They may well be electric assist, thus you may be hearing the electric motor. Take a look at your master brake cylinder and if it has an electric motor attached, that is the sound you are hearing.

Most likely he has hydroboost brakes and is hearnig the fluid moving through the small orifices in the booster assembly. It changes pitch depending on the pressure applied to the pedal.
