Brake system problem

When I first got my Monaco Monarch SE when I turned the key to the run position the brake aux pump motor would start. Now it just stopped running in the same condition. I am concerned that if my motor stalls I will not have adequate braking. Does anyone have any ideas. What controls the aux brakes pump and where should I look? I have checked all the fuses in the engine compartment.

Ford has a relay that runs that booster motor. On the older Ford chassis (dump trucks and such) it was rather common for the relay to fail and need replacement.

Ron, on our coach when I step on brake pedal with ignition off the pump motor runs. Try stepping on your brake pedal with Ignition off and see if pump motor runs, if it does it should be OK, if not then you may have a problem.

look at the relay this part does fail and your aux pump should run anytime the motor is not key on or off. And yes you should be concerened if your engine stalls thats all you have
