Center steering wheel,'14 Itasca Suncruiser 38Q 26k
Went to look at pitman arm for size tie ron hook to use to center steering wheel, no place for adjustment. My '02 workhorse w22 and '93 f53 both had adjustable rod to center.
With only drag link adjustment, how is steering wheel centered?

You remove the bolt on the splined flange, of the shaft from the steering wheel, that slips on the steering box shaft.
Then you gently pry it off the steering box shaft, turn the wheel a few teeth, and drop it back on. Replace and tighten the bolt and your done.
This is in the Ford F53 repair manual under " clear vision adjustment "
Don't try removing the steering wheel, that has a blind spline, so the wheel can only go on one way.

Sometimes tapping a small chisel in the slot spreads the yoke out so you can slide it off by hand.
Watch that chisel, they can spring out and hit you. A buddy got new teeth that way.

I'll have to look further for that slot.

Gotter done. Took longer to slide back on splined input shaft. Had DW hold wheel and turn it or me. I think it was 2 teeth/spline. Nice tight space for working in. Thanx Twinboat for the ideas.

Got the saftsteer about would go straight enough, but it was driving me crazy....short trip for me! If someone else were to drive it they would probably have troubles. Once done with other things tommorow I'll give it a shot. Then get rear trac bar ordered. So much fun getting them to our standard of how we want them. [emoji848][emoji849]

I might advise installing the track bar and then having a reputable truck alignment shop check the alignment. I would guess one or both of the axles was installed not quite square.
Incorrect thrust angle will cause the wheel to be off center. It also causes some of the poor handling a lot of F53 owners complain about.
The adjustment is not easy, but well worth the effort. Straight tracking helps with wander. Put some aftermarket sway bars on the rig and Koni FSD’s on there and it will drive like a different coach.
