I cured the sway from semis, on my MH, too, but a Suburbin or U Haul style truck, still send me off course. Weird.

TeJay,

As I've said before, I really appreciate your good work patiently trying to explain the CHF to the doubters, the haters and the mechanically challenged. I was worn out after the first 100 posts on this thread!

To show my gratitude, I'm going to increase your consultant commission from 10% to 20%. I'm sure the checks from grateful CHF adopters will start rolling in any day now and you can look forward to your commissions shortly thereafter. After all, it's only been 5 years since I suggested the CHF, I'm sure the donations will start soon.

Another happy CHF Customer

I did the CHF a couple months ago, both front and rear. I extended the front links about 2 inches. and also replaced the torsion bar bushings at the same time.

This is the first long road trip with CHF, most of the travel has been on 2 and 4 lane side roads through Ohio, WV, and VA. Very little interstate.

Driving is a lot easier and less stressful. driving is more stable without the squirreliness that it had before. I don't need to hold the wheel firmly with two hands and be ready for anything. Passing truck don't seem to push me as bad as before. The truck is significantly more stable.

I would recommend this modification prior to spending any money on other suspension modifications.

Waiter21,
F-16 jockey huh???? My brother worked on those for many, many years. He worked out of the FW plant and traveled the world either himself or with a small crew doing the electronic upgrades. He also taught at Lowery when he was still in the AF.
Glad the CHF has worked for you. Do you have the 19.5's or the 22.5" tires???

John, how many miles on your CHF and did you do the link extensions on the fronts??

Oh! and many thanks for the increase in commission. I'll spend that just about as fast as I did before. But as usual you sure don't get much for your $$$$ these days. It's very hard to find what I did with all that extra income.

You enjoy,
TeJay

We have about 600 miles on the CHF, mostly on the two and four lane side roads. I have the 19.5 tires.

The trip hasn't been uneventful, spit an O2 sensor (I just wrote this up) and also had to do an emergency repair on the drivers side wall separating from the frame (This seems to be a problem with Coachman. I wrote both these up here and on my web site.

TJ,

I think it's around 30k miles now. Although the front bar is tilted up a lot, I did not extend the links. No problems so far.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank jmckinley for starting this thread, and everyone who has participated in the discussion. It has been a lot to read. Had a number of good laughs along the way, great info and learned alot from the combined hundreds of years of experience in this thread.

I too enjoyed reading this thread......it got me thinking about tightening up my ride also.

So I go out to the coach crawl under to take a look and...........I'm sad to report that the 2015 Ford E-450 chassis has NO ( extra ) adjustment holes in the sway bars :(

So the ride is what it is.

My 99 E450 didn't either, but I replaced it with a 1 5/8 thick one, and noticed a big difference. Amazon.com.

I don't foresee how it would and even if it were a threat, I personally would not put up with driving an ill handling possibly dangerous vehicle for 3 years to satisfy a POSSIBLE warranty claim. You have to remember Ford doesn't know the end use of these chassis and most likely assumes the company using it for whatever will ensure it is safe to drive. At least I would hope so.

I don't think making a sway bar change would affect the warranty any more than changing shocks. Don't let it scare you off.
